Merry Christmas! It has been so long since I have posted but I just HAD to share this DIY with you all!
Last year we found these amazing vintage glass lights from our local thrift store that are simply stunning. When I came across the idea of painting ugly green strings gold I knew I wanted to try this with this set of lights. It was so simple but utterly gorgeous – I am in love with the look of these lights!
I used metallic gold Krylon paint and because I could not easily remove the lights I simply used tape on the bulbs.
I was not as careful to make sure that all the edges were sealed because these particular bulbs have a gold/rainbow tint to them, but if you were doing this with clear bulbs I would likely unscrew the bulbs.
I wish my cell phone took better pictures (hint hint Santa!) – as this photo really doesn’t do these lights justice. They are simply stunning!
Great way to vamp up old lights and add a little bling to your string 😉
